Our drive was a success bringing in plenty of food & treats for the animals as well as warm blankets for their bedding during the cold winter months. Thank you for so successfully assisting GOTR in our community outreach effort. The girls were very passionate about helping the animals and are proud of the results of the drive.

The library is up and running, and so is our maker space; the Discovery Zone.  The DZ is made possible by a very generous grant from the PTO.  With that grant, we were able to get start-up and non consumable materials such as, K'Nex, Legos, Keva Planks, Sphero and ozobot programming robots, etc.  Along with these materials, we have consumable products; the kind that once used, need to be thrown away, and we can always use donation of these type of products.  These products include:

  • String
  • Yarn
  • Embroidery Floss
  • Cardboard
  • Toilet and paper towel cores
  • Packing tape
  • Plastic grocery store bags
  • Paper bags
  • Mint or candy tins (like Altoids)
  • Leftover PVC pipe
  • Packing materials
  • Recyclable plastic food containers (please wash!)
  • NEW - We are in desperate need of gently used Legos - if you have some to spare, we would really appreciate it.

If you can provide any of these items, please send them in with your child or drop them at the office. Also, if you have any building materials such as blocks, lincoln logs, etc. that you are getting rid of, we would love those too! We thank you SO much!

1.  Crebilly Farm:  The second of the Planning Commission's meeting to review the Toll Brothers Application to develop Crebilly Farm will take place this week at Stetson Middle School on Thursday, Dec. 15 at 6:30. Toll Brothers is seeking approval from Westtown to build up to 395 homes on the historic 330 acre property that includes sacred Brandywine Battlefield ground.  Under the proposal, Westtown will see an increase in the number of residences of 10% overall, and the impact on traffic in the already congested 202/926 intersection will be significant. If you are interested in this decision, please attend the meeting and have your voice be heard!
