Pocopson's PUBLISHING CENTER,  THE PATRIOT PRESS, made Publishing Student-Author Book Easier than EVER

*** We're using a NEW ad-free Book Company ***

All Patriot Press books will be professionally bound and custom made for each student-author!

Visit the Patriot Press website for the Application & more Information.  Find the Patriot Press on Pocopson's homepage:  (click on the Patriot Press logo/ Quill pen)

Go AHEAD & START Writing!

The Pocopson Patriot Press is a publishing service for the students of Pocopson Elementary School.  Each student may submit an original story to be printed and twice bound for the fee of $20.00 per child.  One copy will be given back to the student and one copy will remain in the School Library to be enjoyed by the entire student body.  Principal Beaver reads every book and presents a Published Author Certificate to each student at an Authors-Only Book Launch Donut Party! Patriot Press student-authors are listed in the Library card catalog system as published authors (students enjoy typing in their name to find they are listed with Dr. Seuss, Beverly Cleary and JK Rowling)!

This is a very special program and unique to our school.   The Patriot Press Committee looks forward to receiving your Application and Story!

There is no art or art history background required. This is elementary introduction to some famous works or art. There are manuals that lay out information. Katee Boyle Mojica is our parent volunteer that leads this program. If you can help by volunteering for two 40 minute classes, one week is going through a slide show with the class and the second class we make a project based on what we have learned.
