5.  GIRLS ON THE RUN AND STRIDE PARTNERS WITH SOLE HOPE:  Our PES Girls on the Run and STRIDE teams, along with many teams throughout Chester County, will be working with Sole Hope for our community service projects this season.  This organization helps children in Africa who are infected with jiggers - sand fleas that burrow into their bare feet and cause infections, paralysis, and sometimes the need for amputation.  We invite you to join us as we gather materials to make simple shoes to protect their feet and provide supplies for medical relief teams who are treating children.  Help us put our best foot forward in the world beyond Pocopson

Now through May, you can donate the following things to help make our shoe kits:

  • Old denim jeans
  • Large safety pins
  • Thin plastic - milk jugs, soda bottles, plastic placemats, plastic folders.  Please rinse milk and soda bottles clean!
Also needed:
  • Sharpies
  • Surgical gloves
  • Cotton balls
  • Medical tape
